Youth Group Aerial Trip, September 2023
In September, our Youth Group traveled to the Aerial Park in Frankenmuth, Michigan. There they went on obstacle courses which included zip-lining and climbing, and then they stopped for dinner on the way home.
Vacation Bible School (VBS), June 2023
Vacation Bible School was held for one week in June. The students participated in many different activities during the week including crafts, music, playing games, lessons on our theme, Learning with Jesus. The older youth did performed skits to help explain the parables.
Loons Game, June 2023
We were able to watch the Great Lake Loons play the Wisconsin Timberwolves. Thrivent Financial sponsored this for Thrivent members.
Ordination Anniversary Service, June 2023
In June of 2023, we celebrated the anniversaries of the ordinations of Pastor Vossler (10 years), Pastor Hoogerhyde (35 years), Pastor Young (35 years), and Pastor Reith (40 years). We thank God for the service of these faithful pastors.
Memorial Day Parade, May 2023
The annual Sanford Memorial Day Parade always begins in our parking lot. We served hot dogs, popcorn, and soft drinks free for everyone even though we lost power. Any freewill offerings went to the Sanford Food Pantry. Those who rode on the church’s float tossed candy and pencils. Two members walked alongside the float and handed out flyers about Vacation Bible School.
Mother's Day Tea, May 2023
In May, the Ladies Aid sponsored a Tea Party to honor all Women. Several beautiful desserts were made and enjoyed by all who attended.
Easter Breakfast, April 2023
The Youth Group sponsored the Annual Easter Breakfast. Breakfast was served between the Easter Sunrise Service at 7:00 a.m. and the Easter Festival Service at 9:30 a.m. Everyone had a great time celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.
